In step 12, we remove the fast idle cam screw, which allows the fast idle cam to be removed for separate cleaning. I also removed the fittings on the end of the choke tube. Apparently, there is no flair on this tube; it's hard to imagine it sealing very well without a flair. I will have to remember to add one before reassembling the carburetor.
