Here we see the cap and rectangular plastic part removed to reveal a spring in the form of a metal rectangle, sitting directly under the plastic rectangle. Note that the ends of this spring bend UP.

There is another plastic part, this sits directly under the spring. Note its position. The underside of this plastic part has holes, which go down, and the "R" goes towards the cable attachment point.
