The steering connecting rod joins the ball on the
3rd arm to that of the steering gear rod. The
internal mechanisms of this arm allow you to form
the socket around the ball and apply a controlled
amount of pressure, for a nearly perfect fit. Note
that there are significant differences between the
two ends of the rod, and their hardware. Note also
that the screw plugs are held in place with cotter
                pins.
