The bushings in the rebuild kit are already honed to fit the new king pin, which makes reassembly easy. You reassemble the mechanism, the opposite way it was taken apart. The only thing you really need to worry about is making sure that the holes in the bushings (not shown) align up with the grease fitting holes in the knuckle. My understanding (perhaps incorrect) is that the grease fittings will hold the bushings in place after assembly, so that the grease will make it to the interior pin whenever applied. Shims were provided, but not needed for either of my King Pins, as the fit was tight without them. The rebuild kit provided replacement lock rings and end caps, which I installed as described for the third-arm.
