Most of the wiring under the hood and under the
dashboard was fried by the fire. All the insulation
was turned to carbon. Fortunately, however, most of
the copper was still in place. This made it
possible for me to measure
- the length of each wire segment,
- the point-to-point location of each wire,
- the gauge of each piece of wire, and
- the color of the wire (in some cases).
The purpose of this section is to document each
wire that will need to be replace. I'll begin by
labeling each contact point under the hood and
under the dashboard. For clarity, I'll use the
designation Jxx for each point.
The terminal associated with J5-8 was destroyed.
Fortunately, it is easily replaced.
