In Step 7, we remove the small clips holding the
bottom linkage in place. Note that the linkage bows
inward. With the linkage removed, we can take out
the accelerator pump.
The accelerator pump uses a leather piston (left),
which must be replaced. Unfortunately, the kit I
purchased had the wrong style of pump in it. In the
end, I was able to pull the leather seal off of the
new pump and place it on the old piston. I also had
to sand the leather down a bit to get it to fit.
All in all, I think it will work.
