I did the same thing for the turn signals on both sides. Unfortunately, the fire melted the chrome retaining ring on the driver's side. I'll have to make a trip to a junk yard to get a replacement.

In this case, I used white primer on the inside, gray on the outside. As before, hats off to the HCl.
