The trim around the main instrument panel is held in place by bolting to the instruments. The trim, and all the instruments, is taken out by removing several nuts.

It's worth noting that the Chevy dashboard has enough room for me to place my entire head in it, and take many of the pictures shown in this section. Try doing THAT in a modern car!
